Overview
The ACS Cancer Action Network Oklahoma Team needed a logo, but not just any logo. When they advocate at capitols, they speak on behalf of cancer patients, survivors, and their families. They needed something that would unify their team visually and create immediate recognition in any setting.
Role
Logo Designer | Concept development, Iterations, Brand Integration
The Goal
This design was about visibility and unity. A strong, consistent visual identity helps an advocacy group command attention, foster trust, and rally more supporters. With my help, this project would save the organization $4,212 in costs. Those savings could then in turn be put directly toward more cancer advocacy work.
Design Process
Understanding their Mission
I explored how the logo could embody advocacy, unity, and the fight against cancer, while still maintaining visual harmony with ACS’ established brand.
Concept Development
Multiple concepts were developed, focusing on:
- Integrating the ACS CAN color palette and typography for brand consistency
- Incorporating subtle, symbolic elements tied to Oklahoma’s identity
- Ensuring clarity and impact at both large and small scales
Refinement + Finalization
Through rounds of feedback with the ACS OK team, I refined the chosen design into a final logo that was bold, clear and representative of their mission.
